Ceremonies Held For Darrell Portrait Unveiling

Ceremonies were held on Sunday for the unveiling of a portrait of former Oklahoma County Commissioner Shirley Darrell.

The ceremonies were held at the Ralph Ellison Library.

Mrs. Darrell, who died in 2013, was the first Black elected to serve as an Oklahoma County commissioner.

She held the position for 16 years.
