First Game to be Held At New Joe Carter Field

The Millwood Falcons are set to cut the ribbon and play their first home game on their brand new Joe Carter Field.
The event will take place on Monday, March 6, with festivities beginning at 2:30 p.m. Ribbon-cutting ceremonies will begin at 3 p.m.
Millwood will face Douglass High.
Millwood’s own Joe Carter will be present to be a part of the festivities. Mr. Carter played college baseball at Wichita State University and was named The Sporting News’ College Baseball Player of the Year in 1981. The same year he was drafted as the number two overall pick by the Chicago Cubs.
Through the course of his 16 MLB seasons, Carter was a .259 hitter and totaled 396 home runs, 1,445 RBI’s, 2,184 hits, 432 doubles and 231 stolen bases. Best known for hitting a walk-off home run to win the 1993 World Series for the Toronto Blue Jays, Mr. Carter knows what...
