Senator Anastasia Pittman Announces Bid for Oklahoma County Commissioner District 1.

Oklahoma City – I am excited to announce my candidacy once again for Oklahoma County Commissioner District 1, following the recent resignation of Commissioner Carrie Blumert. This campaign is a continuation of my unwavering commitment to the people of Oklahoma and District 1. Team Pittman, is ready to build on our previous efforts and continue the work we started for the community.

I am running to address the urgent challenges facing our county, including improving the conditions of the Oklahoma County Jail and ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. My focus remains on securing funding for our public schools, promoting safety for our senior citizens, expanding access to affordable transportation, and preserving our beautiful parks and green spaces.

I bring with me extensive legislative experience and community leadership which I believe offers a unique perspective on what effective county governance can look like. My plan for Oklahoma County, District 1 is to provide solutions for the issues we face today. I believe in a future where every community, regardless of zip code, has access to high-quality services and infrastructure.

As a lifelong resident of Spencer and Oklahoma City, I have spent over 30 years serving our community in various capacities, including as a former classroom teacher, radio talk show host, and community activist. I am grateful to bring a rich history of advocacy and leadership to this position, having represented Oklahoma in the House of Representatives and State Senate, as well as serving in numerous roles that prepared me to tackle state and local issues, helping to leverage federal dollars effectively.

I am ready and dedicated to carry forward the legacy of service established on the Oklahoma County Commission, District 1 by past leaders.

Anastasia A. Pittman
