Horn Said to Have $1 Mil.

U.S. Rep. Kendra Horn (Dem., Okla.) had $1 million in her campaign account on Oct. 14, while State Sen. Stephanie Bice (Rep., Oklahoma City) had $332,000 left to spend in the hotly contested Fifth Congressional District race, it was said by campaigners.

According to campaign finance reports filed Thursday, reports $345,337 receipts for Congresswoman Horn and $325,408 for State Sen.  Bice.

Through Oct. 14, U.S. Rep. Horn had raised a total of about $5.6 million for the race, while State Sen. Bice topped $3 million this month.

In addition to the millions of dollars spent by the candidates, several outside groups have invested heavily in the race, considered among the most competitive House races in the country.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee reported Thursday it has spent nearly $2.5 million on the race.  A group called the Congressional Leadership Fund, which opposes Horn, has reported spending about $3.5 million.

The Fifth District includes most of Oklahoma County and Pottawatomie and Seminole Counties.
