Police Accuse OKC Man of String of Thefts

WICHITA FALLS, TX — Police in Texas arrested an Oklahoma City man on Monday, Aug. 3, after they said he committed a string of thefts from six different locations of a national retailer in Texas and Oklahoma.
Ashton Jayomarion Tecumseh of Oklahoma City was arrested and booked into the Wichita County Jail and charged with organized retail theft over $750 and under $2,500. He also had a warrant for theft out of Dallas County.
As of Aug. 4, Tecumseh remained in custody on a $10,000 bond.
According to court documents, officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department said they were dispatched to the Kohl’s located at the intersection of Call Field Road and Lawrence Road in Wichita Falls at around 6:45 p.m. on May 13 regarding a theft.
Police said they reviewed surveillance footage from the store and observed that a known suspect, whom they identified as Tecumseh, had entered the store and stolen $803.98 worth of merchandise.
According to the affidavit, Tecumseh is suspected in five other thefts from various Kohl’s locations in both Texas and Oklahoma that began in April:

Norman, Oklahoma — April 15, 2026
Midwest City, Oklahoma — May 1, 2026
Dallas, Texas — May 10, 2026
Carrollton, Texas — May 10, 2026
All individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
