Eastpoint is Winner of Award

The EastPoint Project of Oklahoma City is one of nine developments worldwide to receive an Urban Land Institute Global Award for Excellence, The Black Chronicle has learned.

Three of the award recipients were from North America, one award winner is from Europe, and five recipients are from Asian and Pacific Islands locations.

The institute presents the coveted awards to outstanding urban developments.

EastPoint of Oklahoma City was developed by Pivot Project Development.

It is owned by  Jonathan Dodson, David Wanzer, Ben Sellers, Sandino Thompson, Jabee Williams, Dr. Jeff Watts, Michael Davis, Garner Watson, Jamila Harvey, Dr. Patrina Sattiewhite Walter, Dr. Quintin Hughes, Chaya Fletcher and Crystal Buggs.

Additional owners are Steven Harris, Brittani Hunter, Jeff Engle, Brandon Birdwell, Levi Ballard, Emmanuel Sosanya, Cordell Love, Greg Johnson, Courtney Strickland, Kenyetta Richard and Steve Mason.

Designers were  Miles & Associates and Gardner Architects.

Among the other development award recipients are:

  • The Alexandra Park Revitalization project of Toronto, Canada.

The developer of that project is the Toronto Community Housing Corp.

The designers are Urban Strategies, IGA Architectural Partners, Teeple Architects and janet Rosenberg Studio;

  • Circl of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The developer is BAM & Bunnik, the owner is ABN AMRO and the designer is de Architekten;

  • Dasha River Ecological Corridor of Shenzhen, China; and
  • Plant Riverside District of Savannah, Ga.

Developers are the Plant Riverside District, LLC, and the Kessler Collection.

The designers are  Sottile & Sottile, John T. Campo & Associates, PFVS Architecture and Thomas + Hutton Engineering.
