Millwood Athletics is seeking new Girls Head Basketball Coach

Millwood, March 5, 2025 — The Millwood Public Schools Athletics department is seeking to hire a new High School Girls Basketball Coach for the 2025-26 School year. After six seasons as the Girls High School Coach, Dava Albert has made the decision to transition to the athletic department to support Shannon Hayes with all athletic and operations programming at Millwood Public Schools. “As an alum and a person that bleeds blue, my passion for building Champions in the Classroom, Community and life have led me to make this decision to expand my reach in the organization”. Coach Albert has many accomplishments to her credit including multiple All Conference and All State players. She also completes her coaching career having supported multiple players to gain scholarships to play at the collegiate level.


Successful applicants will possess a knowledge of current high school athletic programs with adherence to OSSAA rules and regulations, as well as the ability to recruit and staff coaches for the entire program, beginning with the sixth grade level.


“We are excited to begin the next chapter of our winning tradition”, says Shannon Hayes, Director of Ops and A.D. “Millwood’s excellent tradition for building champions coupled with a visionary leader that has the ability to build a vertically integrated program, will propel our girls to the next level”. In addition the coach should possess the ability to build an atmosphere for respect, trust and resilience.
