Tyler Perry acquires BET’s entertainment division
It appears the fight to purchase BET is over. Reports are coming in from Yahoo Entertainment that Tyler Perry has taken over BET’s entertainment division, and according to the source, the deal comes to the aid of Paramount Global, which was hemorrhaging money to a loss of about $400 million a year.
Well, Forbes has listed Perry’s net worth as a cool $1 billion. All I know is that, if it’s true, Tyler now controls BET Media Group, which also owns VH1. Let’s just hope Mr. Perry will give us some quality shows that include sitcoms, music, and maybe some programs on creating generational wealth.
Keke Palmer Faces Breast Milk Discrimination at Houston Airport
Keke Palmer, who recently released the album “Big Boss,” took to social media yesterday after she faced some problems, as many nursing mothers do these days, at the airport in Houston. The “Nope” star apparently couldn’t get her breast milk that she had pumped for her baby, Leodis, through security. Apparently, they only allow three ounces, which isn’t enough to feed your baby.
Well, Keke and her partner, personal trainer Darius Jackson, welcomed their first son in February of this year. She said that breast milk discrimination at the Houston airport ruined her mood. She said: “I should’ve popped my tit out right then because the discretion and comfort of pumping is thwarted with threats to throw out over 16oz my babies food?!?!!!”
Apparently, this is becoming a big problem for breastfeeding mothers with TSA. I think they need to get that one together because who wants a crying baby because they’re hungry on your flight?
EJ Johnson Shines at Marvel Studios’ “Secret Invasion” Launch
EJ Johnson put on a daring display this week as the 31-year-old son of basketball icon Magic Johnson was seen at the Marvel Studios’ “Secret Invasion” launch at El Capitan Theater here in Hollywood.
He was with his mom, Cookie Johnson. Now, the reality star stands out. You know, he’s a tall guy. But it was eight years ago this week that EJ had his gastric sleeve surgery to make him slimmer. He shed an astounding 180 pounds and he looks good. He was out with his Croc purse and he had on a dress that had some slits in it, of course, with some kinky boots. He and Cookie look kind of good. I have to say.
Ashanti and Nelly Reunite at Atlanta’s Black Ball
Ashanti and Nelly have reunited. I’m so happy about this. Apparently, they were out together at Atlanta’s Black Ball in matching outfits. Lots of hand-holding, you know.
The dynamic duo turned heads as they stepped out together. They were a couple way back in, I think 2012 or 2013, and they broke up. But I really always thought they should be together, and apparently, they did too.
So that is now happening, and producer Jermaine Dupri was there. He shared a fun clip of himself and the reunited couple having fun in the elevator as Ashanti also hit the stage to flex her vocals on her and Fat Joe’s hit record “What’s Luv?” I’m just glad they’re back together again.
