A 24-year-old young woman launched her most ambitious entrepreneur venture when she opened a few weeks ago a premium events center in Edmond.
The Okie Hangout (1712 S. Kelly Ave.) was opened by Nakayla Derritt, who said the 1800 sq. ft. center will accommodate practically any social gathering (birthday celebrations, weddings, baby showers, family reunions, wedding receptions, girls-night-out affairs, private parties, etc.) and all at reasonable prices.
“Our spacious facility can even be the site of club meetings, sorority and fraternity meetings, church seminars….you name it,” the business owner said.
“Another factor is that The Okie Hangout has generous free parking to accommodate our patrons,” the event center owner pointed out.
She described the center as “stte-of-the-art” and said it is conveniently located for Oklahoma Cityans and residents of Edmond, as well.
The event center’s owner started her first business when she was just 16.
Tht was a plus-size modeling agency.
Some have clled her personality effervescent and she is enthusiastic about any of her undertakings.
