New Administrators Named by District

Several new administrators and principals have been named by the Oklahoma City Public School District.

Among them are:

  • Stephanie Bowman will become principal of Filmore Elementary School.

An experienced educator and administrator with more than 10 years in public education.

She has taqught at the elementary and middle school levels, has worked as an instructional coach, and has been an assistant principal and principal.

After working in Lawton, she joined the Oklahoma City district, and has worked as a data strategist and as director of elementary and secondary school emergency relief.

  • Adrianne Hopgood has been named principal of Spencer Elementary School.

She spent 12 years of her 17-year career as a classroom teacher in Texas before returning to Oklahoma and the Oklahoma City district as a

  • Rachelle Conner will serve as principal of John Marshall Enterprise High School.

She has spent more than 20 years in education, working as a classroom teacher for 15 of them.

She was recognized as  Teacher of the year during her time in the Clark County Public School District and the Cherry Creek Public School District,

She has served as an assistant principal, principal and dean of students at elementary, middle and high school levels in Colorado, Nevada and Nebraska.

  • Geri hemphill has been assigned as principal of Rogers Middle School.

She brings to the position 12 years of experience as a classroom teacher, and has taught at Columbus Elementary School, and at private and public schools in the metropolitan area and at Langston Elementary School.

She  began her Administrative career 23 years ago in Oklahoma City district, then continued as an

 Administrator in Edmond for nine years.

Next,  she served as assistant principal at Marshall.

  • Dr. Misti Tope will become principal at the Classen School of Advanced Studies High School at Northeast.

She has been an educator for 15 years, having been a mathematics and science teacher in Texas and Oklahoma, and has served as instructional coach and professional development coordinator for the Oklahoma City district.

She has been an assistant principal at Classen for the last three years.
