Oklahoma County Commissioner Jason Lowe Files for Re-Election

OKLAHOMA CITY — Commissioner Jason Lowe has officially filed for re-election as Oklahoma County Commissioner for District 1, announcing his continued commitment to serving the residents of District 1 with a focus on fairness, justice, and opportunity for everyone.
The Democratic Primary is scheduled for June 16, 2026. The primary will determine the next County Commissioner since no candidates from any other party filed for office.
“I’m leading Oklahoma County with a focus on fighting for fairness, justice, and opportunity for everyone,” said Commissioner Lowe.
“I am dedicated to keeping the 200-plus miles of District 1 roads safe and maintained for drivers and pedestrians,” Lowe continued. “I support timely repairs and regular upkeep to prevent expensive car maintenance problems for families. I’m also working hard to expand bus services to improve public transportation across the county and reduce traffic.
“As County Commissioner, I have worked hard to expand access to basic heath and mental care to improve the quality of life for families in the community. I will continue to be a strong advocate for mental health and addiction treatment to be a centerpiece of the new county detention center.
“My commitment to fairness in justice has successfully resulted in the promotion of responsible policing and advocating for rehabilitation over incarceration for non-violent offenders,” said Lowe.
“I firmly believe sustaining strong local economic development, including access to good jobs and affordable housing, is vital to creating a safe community where quality of life is a right and not a dream for our neighbors,” said Lowe.
