OKLAHOMA CITY — What began in 2014 as a three-day outreach vision sparked by the leadership of Bethlehem Star Baptist Church and Pastor Rodney Payne has now evolved into a powerful week-long, multi-site movement impacting communities across Oklahoma City.
Praise Beyond the Walls 2026 returns June 1–7, 2026, bringing together churches, volunteers, businesses, nonprofits, sponsors, educators, and community organizations for seven days of worship, outreach, empowerment, resources, and service.
Originally launched as a three-day community outreach initiative, Praise Beyond the Walls was created with one mission: to go beyond the four walls of the church and meet people where they are through practical support, compassion, and the love of Christ. Over the past decade, that vision has continued to expand year after year.
Today, the outreach includes multiple events across several locations throughout Oklahoma City, serving children, youth, adults, and families through collaborative partnerships and city-wide support. Through the commitment of volunteers, ministry leaders, sponsors, and community partners, Praise Beyond the Walls has become a unifying force dedicated to making a lasting impact throughout the city.
“What started as a vision within our church leadership has grown into something far greater than we could have imagined,” said Pastor Rodney Payne. “Praise Beyond the Walls is about serving people, strengthening community, and showing the love of Christ in tangible ways.”
The 2026 outreach will feature free experiences and resources throughout the week, including:
- Vacation Bible School for all ages
- Youth Explosion and Teen Summit
- Men’s and Women’s Conferences
- Leadership and Personal Development Sessions
- Resume Workshops and Community Job Fair
- Community Resource Fair and Giveaways
- Worship Gatherings and Outdoor Outreach Events
- Praise in the Park Community Celebration
This year’s initiative also continues its “Mission 10,000” focus — an effort to impact 10,000 lives through outreach, encouragement, resources, prayer, and community connection.
The event is free and open to the public.
