The 46th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade and Events Listing

OKLAHOMA CITY — In partnership with its sponsors, the Oklahoma City Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Alliance will celebrate the National MLK Holiday and its 46th Annual Alliance Celebration with a series of events and activities throughout Oklahoma City.
This year’s theme, We Are Better Together, reflects the belief that communities are strongest when united in purpose and service. The theme reinforces the Alliance’s longstanding message that collective action leads to greater impact and lasting change. Observances will encourage reflection rooted in peace, commitment, courage, and servant leadership.
The public is invited to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, Jan. 19, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the corner of NW 5th Street and Walker Avenue in downtown Oklahoma City.
Activities will begin earlier in the day at 9:00 a.m. with two simultaneous events: the Annual MLK Job Fair at Douglass High School, 900 N. Martin Luther King Ave., and the Opening Program at the Clara Luper Freedom Center, 2609 N. Martin Luther King Ave.
The Alliance’s Annual Program will take place at 12:15 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 127 NW 7th St. The program will feature guest speaker Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt, along with musical performances and selections by local community artists.
The day will conclude with the 46th Annual MLK Parade in downtown Oklahoma City. Mayor David Holt, the 2026 Grand Marshal, and Dr. Norma L. Noble, Parade Marshall will lead the event. The festivities will include performances, floats, bands, community organizations, and participants representing diverse backgrounds and generations.
The deadline for general participant registration was Jan. 6, 2026. Businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities had to register by 5:00 p.m. Dec. 29, 2025. General parade entry is $45, and sponsorships begin at $125.
