Tinker Federal Credit Union Promotes Joseph Arthur and Edgar Medina

OKLAHOMA CITY —Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) has promoted Joseph Arthur to executive vice president (EVP) and chief operations officer (COO), and promoted Edgar Medina to senior vice president of operations.
Arthur steps into the role following the retirement of longtime COO Connie Wall.
Beginning his career at TFCU in 2002, Arthur has held a wide variety of roles across the organization, progressing from a teller to a member service representative, to senior vice president of operations and now his new role as EVP and COO. He has led several key initiatives to strengthen member service, operational consistency and staff development, and has also played an important role in creating a mentorship program now used throughout the credit union.
In his new position, Arthur will oversee day-to-day operations, guide major service initiatives, support branch leadership and help shape long-term operational strategy.
Before stepping into his new role, Arthur reflected on his time at TFCU, noting how the credit union’s mission and people have shaped his career. He emphasized the importance of serving members with consistency and compassion while supporting the development and success of TFCU employees across the organization.
“I am humbled and honored to serve in this new capacity at TFCU,” Arthur said. “This organization has been such a huge part of my life and career. I have been blessed with so many incredible co-workers and mentors over the years, and I look forward to serving our teams and members in this new exciting way.”
Medina steps into his new role as senior vice president of operations following more than two decades of service to the credit union.
Throughout his career at TFCU, Medina has held various roles including AVP and branch manager at the Capitol Hill branch and most recently vice president and director of lending. His background blends years of expertise in operations, lending and leadership, creating a good foundation for his new role overseeing operational excellence across the credit union.
In his new position, Medina will oversee daily operations and guide initiatives that support both in-branch and remote service. He plans to focus on improving convenience for members while continuing to uphold the personalized service that defines TFCU branches, contact center and ITM channels.
Joseph Arthur, chief operations officer at TFCU, said Medina’s approach to leadership and service make him a great fit for this responsibility.
“Edgar’s strong academic and professional background paired with his passion for serving members and employees make him exceptionally well suited for this role,” Arthur said. “He is a true ambassador for our organization continuously promoting our mission, values and commitment to members.”
Medina said he looks forward to this new role and continuing work that both strengthens the member experience and supports a workplace culture focused on empathy, accountability and growth.
“Through different channels, projects and programs, TFCU always strives for excellence,” said Medina. “The ability to show up for our members and employees in a variety of ways is what makes me most proud to work at TFCU and take on this new role.”
