Two More Suspects Arrested in Connection with Arcadia Lake Shooting

EDMOND, Okla. — Two more suspects have been arrested in connection with the May 3rd shooting at Arcadia Lake, bringing the total number of suspects in custody to six.
Edmond Police report that Marcus Kane Jones, age 21, was arrested on June 23. Jones, who is facing one count of Accessory to Murder, was taken into custody at an Edmond residence by the U.S. Marshals Service and taken to the Edmond jail before being transported to the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
Charges have also been submitted against an unnamed 16-year-old male who was already in custody at a juvenile detention facility in connection with an unrelated case. The juvenile charges of shooting with intent to kill, gang-related offenses, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a firearm after juvenile adjudication.
A “Sunday Fun Day” event promoted on social media – but put on without a permit – at the Scissortail Campground at Arcadia Lake on Sunday, May 3 ended with the shooting death of 18-year-old Avianna Smith-Gray and two dozen people injured.
Reports indicate that an argument between two women escalated into a fight between rival gangs, with roughly 80 rounds exchanged during the event, according to the Edmond Police Department.
Days after the incident, 18-year-old Jaylan Davis turned himself in after police secured a warrant for his arrest. Davis has been charged with First-degree Murder.
The investigation also led law enforcement to Trinity Brown, a 20-year-old woman from Oklahoma City, who has been charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon; Daviion Wyckoff, 21, who is charged with First-degree Murder; and Breonn Morton, 23, who is charged with Accessory to a Felony.
