The legendary Jill Scott is bringing her smooth voice to airwaves around the world with her new weekly podcast, titled J.ill the Podcast.
Miss Jilly from Philly will be joined by her sister-friends singer Aja Graydon-Dantzler of Kindred the Family Soul, and radio personality Laiya St.Clair.
According to Scott, fans can look forward to “no-hold-barred conversations” on a few heavy and light topics including relationships, culture, health, art, and “everything else that comes with surviving and thriving as a Black woman in today’s world.”
“We are going to be talking about a lot of amazing things. Things that need to be spoken about like individuality,” says Scott in the podcast trailer, shared on Instagram.
“Family,” added Aja, followed by St. Clair, who begins singing, “and blackness…blackness.”
“We will not hold back,” Scott continues. “There are things that need to be said and it may make you uncomfortable. it may make you a little angry. it may make you get up and start a revolution.”
Fans and podcast lovers can tune into the first episode of J.ill the Podcast, which airs Wednesday, Nov. 18 on platforms everywhere. For more details and exclusive merch, go to Shop.MissJillScott.com.
