Man tried to rob Palm Beach bank after losing money in parking lot

An unarmed man who tried to rob the PNC Financial institution at 245 Royal Poinciana Way in Palm Seashore on Thursday, did it as a result of he believed cash was stolen from his pocketsand thought he might take cash from PNC as retribution, authorities stated.

Crime-scene tape surrounds the PNC bank on Royal Poinciana Way on Thursday, as police investigate an attempted robbery at the bank.

John Roderick Rider, 28, stated he believed somebody had taken $12 out of a pockets he left inside his unlocked car whereas he was on the close by PNC Wealth Administration Financial institution at 222 Royal Palm Method.

It was not clear from the report why Rider was on the Royal Palm Method financial institution, or why he allegedly tried to rob the financial institution on Royal Poinciana Method.

Rider, who has an Ohio drivers license, had simply moved to Florida from Michigan and was dwelling out of his automobile, police stated.
