Home to the town of Easton, Talbot County has a population of 37,510 people, 29.1% of whom are retirement age.
One reason the county stands out among other parts of the state is the concentration of primary care physicians. There are 103.7 doctors for every 100,000 people in the county, compared to just 86.7 per 100,000 across the state as a whole.
