State troopers shot in Susquehanna County

(The Center Square) – Two Pennsylvania State Police troopers were shot while responding to a call in Susquehanna County on Thursday.

Both were taken to area hospitals.

A release from the organization asked the public to avoid the area where it occurred on Route 171 about five miles north of the town Thompson.

Gov. Josh Shapiro has been briefed on the matter and said during a Bucks County press conference that his next order of business was to deal with the situation.
