(The Center Square) – Gov. Josh Shapiro’s $51.4 billion budget proposal has left those on the side of fiscal conservency sounding the alarm over potential financial calamity should the state adopt it in full.
The Commonwealth Foundation is one such organization. Earlier this week, President Andrew Lewis and Chief Policy Officer Nathan Benefield warned that tax hikes will come if spending isn’t pared down to a “sustainable” level.
