Rejected vanity plates
More than 300 personalized and vanity license plate requests in Illinois were rejected last year.
Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias said of the over 60,000 requests, 335 were denied because of their inflammatory or offensive nature, or because they were difficult to read.
Some of the rejected requests include MUNCH, JAGWEED, and WEENIE. Others, like MWMWMW and OOQQOO were rejected because Giannoulias said they are difficult to read and could pose problems for law enforcement.
