Robert Crimo, Jr. pleaded guilty to charges stemming from his sponsorship of his son’s application for a gun license three years before the July 2022 attack that left seven people dead. Crimo arrived at the Lake County courthouse wearing a T-shirt that read “I’m a Political Pawn.” The judge threatened to hold him in contempt of court if he violated court rules again.
