Grubhub settles case

Illinois’ attorney general and the Federal Trade Commission have announced a $25 million settlement with Grubhub over alleged deceptive practices.

Kwame Raoul’s office began the investigation into Grubhub’s practices after receiving consumer complaints. The investigation alleges the company misled consumers about the cost of deliveries, misled drivers about the amount of money they could earn, and listed some restaurants on the Grubhub app without their knowledge or consent.
