Suspicious devices at Tesla dealer investigated

Police are investigating after suspicious devices were discovered at a Tesla dealership in Austin, Illinois, on Monday. Officers responded to the dealership and located suspicious devices on the property. A bomb squad was dispatched to investigate. The incident appears to match a pattern identified by the FBI as a nationwide trend targeting Tesla dealerships and charging stations since January.

Police chief fired

The city of Galesburg has fired its police chief following a two-week investigation into sexual harassment allegations. The city manager said Russell Idle was dismissed following the investigation into alleged violations of the city’s sexual harassment and discrimination policies. Details of the investigation were not revealed.

Thousands of life advocates from around Illinois are expected to gather at the State Capitol in Springfield on Tuesday for the Illinois Pro-Life March. The annual event, previously known as the Illinois March for Life, will condemn what the group said is a compilation of anti-life legislation before the state legislature. Organizers said the objectionable legislative initiatives include bills to legalize physician-assisted suicide and further state support and taxpayer funding for abortions.
