Walgreens announces closures
Pharmacy giant Walgreens has announced the closing of dozens of locations in 17 states, including Illinois.
Company officials said if your local Walgreens has closed or will close soon, the drugstore chain is prepared to transfer your prescription to another one of its locations.
The Walgreens at Northstar Health Care in Chicago is the only store that is slated to close in Illinois
Marion bond project breaks ground
Gov. J.B. Pritzker and local leaders broke ground Thursday on a new, 550,000 square-foot retail, entertainment and hospitality development in Marion.
The development is the first Sales Tax and Revenue Bond Project in Illinois. Bonds are available and are intended to support municipalities with financing options to invest in capital projects.
Farmers market at State Fair Grounds
The Illinois Department of Agriculture is hosting the 18th season of the Illinois Product Farmers Market at The Shed on the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
Attendees can expect a family-friendly environment packed with diverse vendors, a rotating selection of food trucks, cooking demonstrations, and live entertainment.
The Illinois Product Farmers Market will be held every Thursday through Sept. 25 excluding June 19 and the two Thursdays during the Illinois State Fair.
