White Sox eye move to South Loop

While the Chicago Bears continue to consider locations for a new stadium complex, there is a report the White Sox may be on the move as well.

The Sun-Times reported Wednesday the team has its eye on a piece of undeveloped land near the South Loop to be the location for a baseball-only stadium.

White Sox management has talked about moving out of Guaranteed Rate Field when the team’s lease expires after the 2029 season. The team has played there since 1991.
