(The Center Square) – U.S. Rep. Nikki Budzinski, a Democratic congress member from central Illinois, said Democrats have “a lot of work to do” in better understanding rural American voters.
“There’s a lot of talk about how Democrats have lost touch with rural America, with working class voters,” she said. “I will be the first to tell you that we have a lot of work to do, but that we need to tell our story.”
Budzinski told attendees at a Democratic National Convention event that Democrats are better at delivering for rural Americans than Republicans.
