(The Center Square) – Illinois officials are encouraging residents to inform a hotline about “hate.”
Gov. J.B. Pritzker, along with Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton, Attorney General Kwame Raoul, Illinois Department of Human Rights Director Jim Bennet and Brave Space Alliance CEO Channyn Lynne Parker discussed the new hotline at a news conference Thursday focused on reporting what anyone may consider an act of hate.
The hotline will cost Illinois taxpayer $5 million over a five-year period.
