(The Center Square) – A former southwest Ohio city manager is being accused of attempting to pay for sex with a minor, and he could face more charges.
Attorney General Dave Yost says ex-Milford City Manager Michael Doss was charged with trying to solicit sex from someone he believed was a 15-year-old.
He faces one count of importuning, a fifth-degree felony, after an undercover investigation by the Miami Valley Human Trafficking Task Force revealed that Doss allegedly attempted to buy sex from an individual he believed was a 15-year-old girl.
Yost said Doss resigned his position after he was confronted with the allegations.
Doss, hired in 2016, resigned his position last week, citing personal reasons. The city announced the resignation Thursday and said it plans to appoint an interim manager.
