Vance promises to fight for Americans, slams Biden and Harris during solo rally

(The Center Square) – U.S. Senator and Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance promised Monday to fight for American workers, and slammed President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris at a solo campaign rally in Middletown, Ohio. Vance’s event comes a week after he was selected as former President Donald Trump’s running mate.

Vance previously gave a speech outlining his campaign plans during the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee last Wednesday after he was announced as Trump’s vice presidential pick, as The Center Square previously reported.

Vance started the campaign rally by saying that he was happy to be in his hometown of Middletown and thanked attendees for coming. He also said that he is “proud” of his place of origin.

Vance went on to say that the Republicans need to “work hard for every single vote” for former President Donald Trump’s presidential bid.

Vance said that Trump puts “American citizens first” and “fights” for the country.

Vance went on to criticize the Biden administration.

“After four years of Joe Biden’s presidency, or whoever actually is calling the shots in Joe Biden’s White House, are we ready to re-elect President Trump?” Vance asked the crowd.

“So, the problem is when our leadership makes all of these dumb decisions, we know exactly who suffers the consequences,” Vance said. “It’s the people right here in this room and the communities that we live in.”

Vance slammed the Department of Education, saying that they are attempting to indoctrinate schoolchildren. He promised to “fight for parents” to be able to send their children to schools where the education is not an “indoctrination.”

Vance promised that he and the rest of the Trump camp would fight for energy workers in the U.S. Vance later criticized the amount of Chinese-made products sold in America.

Vance referred to the Democratic establishment as “corrupt” and made several references to the media “lying” during his speech.

Vance’s comments come after Biden ended his campaign and endorsed Harris. race.
