Last night, in front of a crowd of 70,000, Vice President Kamala Harris gave her closing argument on why she should become the next President of the United States.

“Listen, one week from today, you will have the chance to make a decision that directly impacts your life, the life of your family, and the future of this country we love,” said Harris.

She delivered her speech at the Ellipse, right where Donald Trump spoke before inciting a riot that attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. She framed the stakes as a choice between unity and division, calling for a new generation of leadership.

She drew sharp distinctions between herself and Trump, warning that his return to office would bring vengeance and chaos, while pledging to focus on affordability, justice, and the dignity of all Americans. From lowering costs to safeguarding democracy and healthcare, Harris emphasized her vision for an America united, calling this election the most important vote of our lifetimes.
