Admiral Bradley Faces Scrutiny Over Deadly Caribbean Strike

(AURN News) — Navy Adm. Frank “Mitch” Bradley is expected to face intense questioning on Capitol Hill today as lawmakers probe a deadly double‑tap strike on a suspected drug‑running boat in the Caribbean.
Bradley, a longtime special operations commander, ordered the mission. The initial strike reportedly destroyed the vessel, and a follow‑up strike hit the wreckage again, killing survivors who were still in the water.
Democrats and Republicans alike want to know why those survivors were treated as targets rather than detainees — and whether the mission crossed the line from a counter‑narcotics operation into a potential war crime.
The Trump administration maintains Bradley acted within his authority, arguing the boat was tied to narco‑terror networks. Bradley is expected to present a video of the strike during the hearing.
Human rights advocates say the United States cannot claim moral authority while striking wounded individuals who no longer pose an immediate threat.
