All-Nighter in the Senate: Vote-a-Rama Over Trump’s Mega-Bill Continues

It’s been an all-night legislative marathon on as senators grind through a vote-a-rama on President ‘s massive spending bill.

It started Monday morning and continued into Tuesday, with the final vote still not in sight.

At stake is the multi-trillion-dollar bill, which slashes $930 billion from over the next decade and imposes new work requirements, potentially stripping coverage from more than 11 million people by 2034, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report.

Democrats, lacking the votes to block the bill, forced its full reading this week to slow the process and introduced amendments targeting Trump’s safety net cuts.

Republicans are trying to hold the line while tweaking provisions, including one amendment barring unemployment benefits for millionaires and another led by Marsha Blackburn blocking a 10-year ban on state AI regulations.

Both the House and Senate versions of the bill could leave millions uninsured and eliminate critical services.
