Another Jump in Prices: What It Means for You

(AURN News) — Inflation ticked up again in June, pushing prices higher for everyday Americans.

The Consumer Price Index rose 0.3% last month, marking the third straight monthly increase.

Prices rose 0.1% in May and 0.2% in April, according to data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Over the past 12 months, the index has climbed 2.7%.

Some of the sharpest increases came from core categories. Shelter rose 0.2% in June. Energy prices jumped 0.9%. Food costs climbed another 0.3%.
