Biden Discusses Hostage Release, Ceasefire, and Aid with Israel’s Netanyahu

WASHINGTON (AURN News) — President Joe Biden spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday by phone, addressing the recent release of hostages, the ongoing ceasefire situation, and humanitarian aid in the Gaza region.

The discussion comes in the wake of a four-year-old American girl who was among those released by Hamas on Sunday, alongside several other hostages. The White House, in a statement, confirmed that the call between Biden and Netanyahu centered around multiple key issues.

According to a statement from the White House, both leaders underscored the importance of the released hostages and the return of all individuals still held by Hamas. In a joint commitment, President Biden and Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed their shared determination to continue collaborative efforts until every hostage is safely released.

The specifics of the conversation were not disclosed in the White House statement, but it emphasized the ongoing partnership between the two nations in navigating the Israel-Hamas War.
