Black Men Compete for GOP Presidential Nomination

Is the Republican Party witnessing a surge in diversity as three black men have stepped forward to compete for the party’s nomination for president? Former Congressman Will Hurd from Texas, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, and radio host Larry Elder are shaking up the GOP race with their historic candidacies.

Senator Scott, the only Black Republican in the Senate, has been actively hitting the campaign trail and recently brought the country’s relationship with China into the spotlight. On his Twitter account, Scott emphasized the urgent need to confront China’s ambitions, warning, “China’s goal is not just to surpass us. It is to beat us. They’re buying up our farmland, infiltrating our air space, and tracking our kids. Not on my watch. America can win this competition, but Joe Biden cannot.”

Meanwhile, former Congressman Hurd recently made an appearance on the popular talk show, The View, where he highlighted the importance of safeguarding American democracy. In a clip from the show, shared on his Twitter account, he underscored the notion that democracy might be taken for granted.

Adding further momentum to the diverse field, radio host Larry Elder has announced his participation in the upcoming Presidential Candidate Forum on Entrepreneurship hosted by Right to Start in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Set to take place next Friday, the forum will provide a platform for Elder to share his vision and ideas on fostering economic growth and opportunities for all Americans.
