“His limited narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hard-working, highly educated, successful people who happened to be Black.”
That was just one of the lines from former First Lady Michelle Obama at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) convention on day two, as the night centered on laying out a vision for America’s future.
“Who’s gonna tell him that the job he’s currently seeking might just be one of those Black jobs.”
Former President Barack Obama followed the same suit:
“Here’s a 78-year-old billionaire who has not stopped whining about his problems since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago.”
And that was after rapper Lil’ John roused the crowd as a Georgia delegation did their roll call. The night was filled with speeches on why the Harris-Walz ticket should win in November, and today, marking day three, will be more of the same. This time, running mate Gov. Tim Walz takes the stage. We’ll also hear from former President Bill Clinton and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
