Do Black Voters Still Support Trump?

(AURN News) — President Donald Trump is intensifying his attacks on the media, calling for license revocations and financial penalties against two major television networks. In a series of Sunday night posts on Truth Social, he accused ABC and NBC of biased coverage and suggested they should pay “millions” in license fees — or lose access to the public airwaves altogether.

“Why is it that ABC and NBC FAKE NEWS, two of the absolute worst and most biased networks anywhere in the World, aren’t paying Millions of Dollars a year in LICENSE FEES?” Trump wrote.

“They should lose their Licenses for their unfair coverage of Republicans and/or Conservatives, but at a minimum, they should pay up BIG for having the privilege of using the most valuable airwaves anywhere at anytime!!! Crooked ‘journalism’ should not be rewarded, it should be terminated!!!” he posted.

Earlier that evening, Trump claimed both networks were acting as “an arm of the Democrat Party” and said they “should, according to many, have their licenses revoked by the FCC.”

He also claimed historic approval ratings and “the greatest 8 months in Presidential History,” despite polling showing a decline in public support.

Trump’s support among younger voters is slipping. Pew says just 69% of his under-35 backers still approve — down 23 points since January. Approval among all 2024 Trump voters sits at 85%, down from 95% at the start of his second term.

The gap is especially wide among Black Americans. Pew found 64% said they “very strongly” disapprove of Trump’s performance, compared with 9% who “strongly” approve.
