While White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was delivering the daily briefing yesterday, Elon Musk was on his platform X, blasting President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill: “I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.”
I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore.
This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.
Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.

Musk went on to warn the bill would increase the already massive budget deficit to $2.5 trillion, burden Americans with unsustainable debt, and bluntly declare that Congress is making America bankrupt.
There’s still no word from Trump, whose silence only deepens GOP turmoil. Holdouts like Sens. Rand Paul and Ron Johnson insist they won’t vote without sharp spending cuts.
Some Republicans have accused party leadership of prioritizing a July 4 deadline over fiscal discipline. Others warn that voters could punish them for delayed Social Security or VA benefits.
With the big, beautiful bill caught between Musk’s high-profile critique and mounting Republican discord, lawmakers have four weeks to bridge the divide.
