Gas Prices Rise After U.S. Strikes in Iran

(AURN News) — Gas prices have risen sharply following U.S. strikes in Iran under President Donald Trump’s Operation Epic Fury.

According to AAA, the national average price for regular gasoline is now $3.25 per gallon. Last week the average was $2.98, and a month ago it was $2.89.

A report from Politico says the White House is looking for ways to bring prices down.

“President Donald Trump’s chief of staff, Susie Wiles, is telling his advisers to bring ideas to the Oval Office to lower gasoline prices in the wake of the U.S. attack on Iran, according to two energy industry executives familiar with the conversations,” Politico reported.

Last year, the national average price for gasoline was $3.10 per gallon.
