George Floyd’s Brother Criticizes Tony Hinchcliffe Joke During Netflix Roast

(AURN News) — Terrence Floyd, the brother of George Floyd, criticized comedian Tony Hinchcliffe for using George Floyd’s name as a punchline during Netflix’s Kevin Hart roast, according to an interview on “The Breakfast Club.”

Terrence Floyd called the joke tasteless and said he was disappointed that his brother’s death was used for entertainment.

While he acknowledged that roast specials are known for edgy humor, he said some topics deserve more care and sensitivity.

George Floyd died in Minneapolis police custody in May 2020, sparking worldwide protests and renewed conversations about police brutality and racial injustice.

His name has since become closely tied to the global movement for social justice.

Clips from the roast spread online, with some viewers saying the joke crossed a line.

As of Tuesday, neither Netflix nor Kevin Hart had publicly responded.
