House Set for Vote on Epstein Files Transparency Act

(AURN News) — The House is now locked into a floor vote. A floor vote is expected early next week on the Epstein Files Transparency Act. It’s a bill that would require the Justice Department to release every unclassified record tied to Jeffrey Epstein, his network and the decisions that shaped his case.

Newly surfaced documents have driven this moment, including a 2019 email in which Epstein claimed Donald Trump knew about the girls, reigniting demands for transparency.
Now that the petition has cleared the threshold, many Republicans who had stayed quiet are signaling that they may vote yes, suggesting the House could pass this measure easily.
If passed, the bill would head to the Senate. Republicans hold the majority and would likely need 60 votes to move it forward. And even if it survives, the president has already indicated that he would veto it.
Overriding that veto would take two-thirds of Congress — something Congress has not accomplished in nearly two decades.
