Home prices remain elevated. The average home sale price rose to $396,800.

Sales of single-family homes fell 9% in January compared with December. The median home price increased 0.6% from January 2025 to $400,300.

Regionally, the West saw the sharpest month-over-month decline, with sales down 10.3%.
