Hunter Biden to Plead Guilty to Tax Crimes: Plea Deal Reached

Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, is set to plead guilty to tax offenses and illicit possession of a firearm under a plea deal with federal prosecutors. The news, revealed in court documents Tuesday, could potentially shield Biden from jail time pending the judge’s approval.

The 50-year-old has been on tax authority’s radar since 2018 and reportedly fulfilled his tax duties in 2020. The charges against him involve two counts of intentional failure to remit income tax and an additional charge from a 2018 firearm possession incident while allegedly consuming crack cocaine.

Christopher Clark, Hunter Biden’s attorney, declared that the agreement with the prosecution would put an end to the Justice Department’s drawn-out criminal investigation.

The third charge related to a firearm will be subject to a pretrial diversion agreement and won’t be part of the plea deal. Despite his previous denial of drug use while purchasing the weapon, Hunter is ready to face the consequences.

The White House has yet to comment on his development.
