ICE Shooting in Minneapolis Under Federal Investigation

(AURN News) — “Shame, shame, shame.” That was the sound of protesters responding after ICE officials in Minneapolis shot and killed a woman inside her vehicle. Authorities say the shooting was in self-defense.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said that while details are still emerging, what is known is that a 37-year-old woman is dead after being shot by an ICE officer.

Officials say the actions leading up to the shooting have caused chaos and distrust in the community. The officer involved claims he acted in self-defense.

Video shows the moments immediately after the officer fired shots at the woman as she attempted to drive away in her vehicle.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said the driver used the vehicle in an attempt to kill the officer and his colleagues.
