Judge Dismisses Corruption Case Against NYC Mayor Eric Adams With Prejudice

According to the , a federal judge dismissed the corruption case against Mayor on Wednesday, granting the Justice Department’s rare request to drop charges so Adams could support President Trump’s policies.

The judge, however, blocked prosecutors from reviving the case after the mayoral election, dismissing it “with prejudice.”

Adams had denied bribery allegations involving illegal donations and favors for Turkish officials. The case, originally filed under President Biden, was halted by Trump’s Justice Department.

The dismissal sparked resignations from prosecutors who opposed the political motives.

With a crowded Democratic primary approaching, critics argue Adams is now too close to Trump. Adams insists he remains committed to the city and its 8.3 million residents.
