Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. faced bipartisan backlash over his handling of vaccines during a fiery Senate hearing.
Democrats accused him of breaking his promise not to restrict access to COVID-19 shots, pointing to FDA changes that now limit eligibility primarily to seniors and high-risk patients.
Doctors in Congress, including Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) and John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), warned Kennedy is undermining decades of vaccine progress — from measles to hepatitis B — by firing the CDC’s advisory panel and replacing it with skeptics.
Kennedy pushed back, insisting he is pro-science, not anti-vaccine.
