Malcolm‑Jamal Warner, ‘Cosby Show’ Star, Dies at 54 in Costa Rica Drowning

Malcolm‑Jamal Warner, beloved for his role as Theo Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” has died at 54. The actor drowned while swimming during a family vacation in Costa Rica, a source confirmed.

Warner rose to fame in the 1980s as the only son in the Huxtable household, becoming a staple of American television. He went on to star in “Malcolm & Eddie,” “Reed Between the Lines” and “The Resident,” among others.

Warner also recently launched a podcast, “Not All Hood,” focused on mental health in the Black community. In 2023, he said he remained proud of “The Cosby Show’s” legacy and cultural impact.

His sudden passing is a devastating loss to fans, family and the entertainment world.
