(AURN News) — Babyface, born Kenneth Edmonds on April 10, 1959, turns 67 today, and his impact on music is undeniable.

Born in Indiana, he became one of the most influential singer-songwriters and producers in modern R&B and pop. His smooth sound and sharp pen helped shape hits for artists like Whitney Houston and Madonna, along with countless others across decades.

He was given the nickname Babyface by funk legend Bootsy Collins, a name that would soon carry global weight. With 13 Grammy Awards to his name, Babyface built a career rooted in timeless songwriting, emotional depth and consistent excellence.
