Poll Shows GOP Support for Trump Crumbling

(AURN News) — Americans are largely unhappy with President Donald Trump’s handling of the economy, even as the recent government shutdown has come to an end. A recent AP-NORC poll conducted between Nov. 6 and 10 shows that 62% of Americans now disapprove of how Trump is handling the job of being president.

Along party lines, 94% of Democrats disapprove, and 71% of independents disapprove.
On the issues, his approval continues to drop. On the economy — one of the main focuses of his campaign — his disapproval now stands at 67%. When it comes to immigration, 57% of U.S. adults disapprove of how he continues to handle it.

AP-NORC also notes that in Trump’s handling of the federal government, Republicans continue to show dissatisfaction. Back in March, he had an 81% approval rating on his handling of the federal government. It has now dropped to 68%.
